Google Analytics A Useful Tool

By Find2k | June 19, 2007

Google Analytics is one of the finest web stats tools I have worked on. It gives you all the stats even the stats of the steps of your X cart, it will tell you that how many entered the shopping cart and out of them how many proceeded towards the next step and the order confirmation page. So that where ever the exits are more for the particular step, it can be rectified.

By knowing which step eliminates maximum visitor, we can start working on it and we can also take measures like: speed of loading of that page, the relevance of the step and the number of fields n that page, as these can be one of the main reason for exits.

Google Analytics has improved the way people actually use web stats. As it is very well said that Urchin was made for the webmasters and Analytics is for Managers and Webmasters. So this tool has both the tools.

The only differentiation point among Urchin and Google Analytics are: Urchin takes data from the server web-logs and Google Analytics takes log via the analytics code on the pages of the website.
