Google Acquires Panoramio
By Find2k | June 1, 2007
I heard a news there is one Spanish based website called as Panoramio. This website is a photo sharing community. A lot of websites and variety of online giants have tried to tackle the challenge of generating the geographical location of photos. But it seems like Panoramic is one of its kind and that’s why Google have planned to acquire it, as they were already using their services in Google earth.
Google, the search engine giant seems to be so keen in purchasing new techniques which interests him, it looks like they are buying anyone and everyone who takes their attraction and interest.
When asked from Google for the acquisition of Panoramio. Google officials said in their statement that Panoramio will add an interesting, useful content to the Google products and will also be an add on for the engineering and technical resources of Google. Panoramio has 2 GB of space for you to upload photos. You can tag your image so that people can find them. It’s an absolute amazing way to categorize them and to navigate people to a specific location on the Google map and let them see if you have taken any interesting picture for them to see.
Google is looking for more and more new and advanced features to come into the picture soon. Google Rocks!!!!!
