Google Acquires FeedBurner
By Find2k | June 5, 2007
Google is in process of decorating its giant cap with precious feathers available online.
Google’s next acquisition is the RSS king FeedBurner. A Chicago based company have been purchased by Google for $100 million.
FeedBurner is involved in media distribution and audience engagement services; it’s basically a website which provides services for bloggers or people who do blogging. It is a web based tool which helps people to know about the blogs and RSS feeds on a particular website. It’s a one stop to find informative blogs and RSS feeds. As FeedBurner is very well known as the RSS Supplier.
Google’s motive of purchase seems like they want to improve the user experience for there new launched service Google Reader. It will be too early to predict anything, but still this is going to rock the online media…
After Google update it was so obvious that Google is concentrated on “Content” only… now purchasing a web services for blogs and RSS feeds… itself says that Google is looking for good things to add on his list… or as we said… Precious/costly feather in Google’s Technology cap
Google will be announcing few more purchases soon
